Chess legend Bobby Fischer dead end of an era

[ source link] Fischer was once arguably the greatest chess mind ever to exist and now he is gone. In his later years his eccentric ways would alienate him from friends and admirers. I will always wonder if Kasparov could have taken Fischer in a game.

Net::DNS::typesbyname() Illegal Arguement error.

I was reading this in my logs the other day and finally to decided to fix it. The fix was getting the new version of NET::DNS from the DAG REPOS.

More on TigerDirect

So I received a telephone call about two weeks ago from a representative from TigerDirect apologizing for the experience I had ordering from them. On the call he promised to give me a 30$ gift card and refund my shipping costs. I was pleased to hear that this had gotten some traction from administrators at Tiger. He said I should receive those items soon. two weeks later and I haven't heard nor seen anything I can only surmise it was another jerking of my chain by TigerDirect. I take that back I did get a standard please rate our service email. ~smirk~

So how good is good,

I have been monitoring my server since upgrading to cf8 and I have to say good is more like great. under cf7 the system load ran at about 10-11% now its runs at 3-4% thats a huge performance increase. cf8 is in my opinion the best release of cf ever!

Tiger Direct will never get my money again

From this day forward I will stay loyal to newegg.com. I received a 50$ gift card from work last week for being a superstar. The gift card was administered by GiftCertificates.com and the only hardware provider I saw was TigerDirect.com.

So I made my gift card selection and received the confirmation code and went to their(tiger) website. I selected the item I wanted and went through their checkout process, their documentation says you will prompted for payment types and that where you will select gift card. I went through the steps and lo and behold I ordered my item but was never prompted for a gift card code (cha - ching).

I was livid called support and was told in no uncertain terms could i have my CC credit back for the balance, EVEN though it was there system failure. I had to order AGAIN and OVER THE PHONE (cha-ching) to be able to use the gift card and receive the 50 credit. This is such a dishonest process and for tiger to be completely unapologetic is unacceptable. So from here on out they will not see a drop of my cash ever agian. and I strongly recommend others to learn from my mistake.
