Unity is Coming to iPhone

So Unity3d.com has officially announced support for the iPhone. Which is great news since Digital Roar has licensed their engine for our game. I was very excited to see this. It now brings the supported platforms to four including PC, Mac, and Wii. They are truly giving young studios the power to succeed.

Digital Roar Studios Inc.

Is looking for concept artists. Get this its a paying gig too. We have 15 concept art pieces we need created for an internal project we are working on. We are looking for for artists that can embrace the art style of Magna Carta.

If your up for something like that I'd ask to please leave a post here linking to some of your work and I will get Digital Roar's art director to contact you with an art test and to discuss what compensation you are expecting.

Where are all the fantasy Illustrators

When I was in high school their where so many kids wanting to draw comic books, fantasy novel covers and sci-fi art. A lot of them were very good. But now as digital roar is looking for some prepro artists , they can't be found. We are a startup and our budget precludes A-list artists. We can't even find the B-list out there. Its like everyone has switched over to 3D for better or for worse. Get this its a paying Gig, not a lot , but more then minimum wage. Its not even a huge project.

iXtreme firmware 1.0 for TS-H943 Xbox 360 (opinion)

Reference Link

My thoughts on this are as follows. Back in the day of playstation/nes you could buy a decent rpg like xenogears or final fantasy for about 30 dollars, if i remember correctly, both games gave you minimally 50 hours of play time and were complete games delivered by the developer. Today we have been delivered pretty looking games without substance, substance is added later with additional game packs. to get the full release of GTA it would cost you well over a hundred dollars. Marvel Ultimate alliance 54.00$ it only features 20-30 hours game play. console game have become more expensive as well as the consoles themselves. but the bargain/value has disappeared. So the only consumer reaction is too either not buy the games or seek illegal means of gaining content. I won't call it anything that what it is (stealing) but I can see the reason for it and applaud the efforts of the modding community.

Investor? who knows? only the shadow does.

A fellow co-worker has provided a link to possible investment in Digital Roar Studios, to help complete the maelstrom:Litany of Tides IP. I am hopeful it will develop into a full blown partnership.
