An Interesting Speculation on the Actionscript to Mozilla Offering

this is a quote from Adam Phillip Churvis, of the BlueDragon Alliance Founding Committee: Among other things, it means that when the time comes (relatively soon), Adobe will most likely wash their hands clean of ColdFusion via the open source route as well, rather than by trying to dump it on another company.

But it most likely also signifies that Adobe realizes its Flash-centric development model and tools cannot keep pace with Microsoft's XAML-based offerings. When you compare the two, Flash-based development looks like an unwieldy cobbled together tinkertoy. And there just isn't enough Adobe funding available to change that in any significant way, so they "give it up to the people" and let them join in for free.
I really dislike the condescending tone he seems to take on the Open Source community. OS has brought us apache, filezilla, php and many other great business tools. If Adobe did put coldfusion out to open source it would only get better IMHO.
Also, the writer will have to forgive my ignorance whats this XAML-based offerings? link wiki-disabled folks . I see that it is a .NET 3.0 Tech . which is all well and good for those who want to let microsoft own your develoment soul from here to eternity.
If I am going to write c# code on my server and I absolutely cannot do it another way ,I prefer to use mono and SharpDevelop.

Im interested in this from a game developer perspective. Does anyone know where to submit proposals too or what format they need to be in?
