So how good is good,

I have been monitoring my server since upgrading to cf8 and I have to say good is more like great. under cf7 the system load ran at about 10-11% now its runs at 3-4% thats a huge performance increase. cf8 is in my opinion the best release of cf ever!

Tiger Direct will never get my money again

From this day forward I will stay loyal to newegg.com. I received a 50$ gift card from work last week for being a superstar. The gift card was administered by GiftCertificates.com and the only hardware provider I saw was TigerDirect.com.

So I made my gift card selection and received the confirmation code and went to their(tiger) website. I selected the item I wanted and went through their checkout process, their documentation says you will prompted for payment types and that where you will select gift card. I went through the steps and lo and behold I ordered my item but was never prompted for a gift card code (cha - ching).

I was livid called support and was told in no uncertain terms could i have my CC credit back for the balance, EVEN though it was there system failure. I had to order AGAIN and OVER THE PHONE (cha-ching) to be able to use the gift card and receive the 50 credit. This is such a dishonest process and for tiger to be completely unapologetic is unacceptable. So from here on out they will not see a drop of my cash ever agian. and I strongly recommend others to learn from my mistake.

Coldfusion 8, The Promised land at last

After some community help pride data is finally running Coldfusion 8.
Full Direction Here.

Not there yet , but CF8 on Plesk 8.x

source link
by doing the below I was able to set the coldfusion path in plesk cd /opt/coldfusion8/runtime/servers/ && ln -s coldfusion default /usr/local/psa/bin/cfsetting -s /opt/coldfusion8 unfortunately plesk still writes out cfmx7 style httpd directives. Does anyone have this working yet?

Free Moola, err well sorta

I have 8 Moola invites. If anyone wants one, leave a comment and I'll send it out to you.
