FMS + Coldfusion = ?????

anyone out there in coldfusion land know how to connect to a cf dsn via server side actionscript. working on a FMS application where a dataObject would be of use. I know I can use webservices but their to slow for realtime data access. any ideas would be greatly apprecated.
